Arriving by Air

Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is the closest airport to downtown Buffalo. It is about 10 miles from downtown, or roughly a 15-minute drive in typical traffic. 

 

From BUF, attendees can travel downtown by taxi, rideshare, rental car, or public bus. For rideshare pickup details, see the airport’s rideshare information. NFTA-Metro’s Route 24 connects the airport with downtown Buffalo; its weekday 24L service makes limited stops. Check the current schedules and route information before traveling, as service and fares may change.

 

Flying into Toronto Pearson (YYZ):

If you take a U.S.-bound flight from Toronto to Buffalo, you’ll complete U.S. customs and immigration preclearance at Pearson before boarding. If you continue to Buffalo by car or bus, you’ll cross the U.S.–Canada land border instead. Travelers who are not Canadian citizens should check whether their itinerary requires Canadian authorization as well as the U.S. visa or ESTA required for their citizenship.

Canadian citizens:

Canadian citizens generally do not need a U.S. nonimmigrant visa for a temporary conference visit. Check the U.S. entry document requirements for your mode of travel.

Arriving by Car

Drivers approaching from Canada via the Peace Bridge can follow the Convention Center’s directions.

 

Parking is available in nearby lots and garages. The Convention Center recommends reserving parking in advance through SpotHero. Check the linked parking map for locations and current availability.

Arriving by Train

Amtrak’s Buffalo–Exchange Street station is downtown. It is served by the Empire Service and Maple Leaf routes; check Amtrak’s schedules for stops and service on your travel dates.

Arriving by Bus

Intercity buses, including Greyhound, serve the Buffalo Metropolitan Transportation Center at 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY 14203, in downtown Buffalo. From the terminal, attendees can continue to their hotel or the Convention Center by taxi, rideshare, or local transit.

Bus routes and schedules vary by travel date. Check the address and boarding details on your ticket, and book directly with Greyhound. The terminal is also served by NFTA-Metro buses.
